But I am glad this incident happened. Because I know how much Mr Wan really loves me. Well, I already know he cares alot for me, but the thing about him, he don’t say those affectionate words often (unless I forced him to). He knows I love to hear, but he just refuse to say. He explained that if he says too often, it loses the real meaning.

I guess all of us have our way of expressing love. For me, I am more expressive. I will say I love him everyday ( because I really do!) and hugs him every night before sleep. But for Mr Wan, he doesn’t. I bet, he just enjoyed being kissed and hugged .

He shows his love not by words, but by actions. If he knows I like to eat a certain food, he will buy and prepare for me. Sometimes, too much until I got sick of eating the food, haha! If I tell him I want to watch a certain movie or the random things that I fancy and mentioned it months ago ( even I forgot about it!), he remembers and buy for me.

This is why I love this boy so much.

When I sprained my ankle and he insisted I stayed at his house and take care of me.. I felt bad for spoiling his weekend.

He said,” It’s my duty to take care of you, silly!”

That’s the sweetest thing I heard.

From this incident, I was also deeply touched by my granny. She rubbed my leg and I felt so loved.  That night, I teared to sleep. Because I realised she is old now and I was scared. Very, very scared. I always believed my granny’s love is the greatest. Followed by, Mr Wan’s.

I am truly blessed. Right now, I just want to treasure the moment with my family, Mr Wan, and my beloved friends. I am really grateful and contented for the things I have now and I hope we will all remain happy and healthy. I have never felt so much at ease and I am glad we have all endured the difficult times.

Initially, we wanted to share a Panerai watch… but me being me, I just don’t like to share my stuffs leh, haha. We both feel for the first good watch, we should get something of value… Panerai can always wait.

So we decided to get our own watch, which sets us back about $20k in total.

Aiyah, I was abit reluctant to part with my $10,332 for my watch because I can do alot of things for my house with this money. However, I feel all of us must own at least one good watch ( yaya, I already own a Tag Heuer and a Bertolucci from my late Mum.. but these are not considered good watch in my opinion leh) and since I have worked hard, I deserve to pamper myself, right? We can always earn back the money right??

Besides, Maybank credit card has promotion tied up with The Hour Glass.

Mine’s the latest design – Date Just, Diamond Six ( yes, that’s diamond on the 6. Nice hor?).

And Mr Wan’s watch is GMT Master ll, which is also a popular choice. In fact, alot of his colleagues either owe a Rolex or a Panerai. Why are all of them so rich huh?

Anyway, I love my watch and I kept looking at it. But I guess I won’t wear it on a daily basis.

After these splurges, we both promised not to anyhow-ly spend money. We have to save up for our house renovation and furniture. Seriously, I don’t know much we need to set aside. $50k enough anot? Our house is new and most likely, I will only need to do my 2nd room for my walk-in wardrobe ( YESSS!! I managed to convince Mr Wan!). I guess we will spend more on our mattress ( yes, it IS a must to get a Sealy. No Seahorse or King Koil brand), nice furnitures ( no Ikea too!) and a big TV  for my living room ( hopefully a Samsung).

Everything also need money. That’s why Mr Wan is also going to do sales next year. I pray everything will go smoothly for both of us

We have finally decided on THE one. Still wondering should we spend on this 5-digit watch, instead of saving up for our future house……

I like the watch too… It fits nicely on my wrist.. I can share with Mr Wan. But on the other hand ( pun unintended!), this amount of money can be used for renovation or buy furniture. This watch is certainly not a need….. But….. It’s too chio to resist. Should we?

I have a soft spot for heels…. The next one, I hope to get a classic pair of Ferragamo pumps/wedge. Preferably in nude or red shade.

July was my lucky month ( broke my personal sales record, more than $72k in a month!), and it was also my birthday month. My BFF, Joanna, treated me to hi-tea at Fullerton Hotel. Gosh, we sat there for hours catching up on what we have missed on each other’s life. We haven’t been meeting up for weeks due to our busy work schedule and I am glad to hear that my dear girl has settled their wedding dinner at Shangri-La next year and I am gonna be one of her bridesmaids ( note to self: better start dieting ). The mini bites were so delish, especially the cranberry duck and scones! There was also a free flow of TWG tea. Guess it’s our age, we prefer spending our lazy Sunday at hotel lounge, rather than going town and squeeze with the crowd. I think I am meant to lead a tai tai’s life :p

Anyway, I am going for our team incentive trip to Bangkok next month. Therefore, I must really strive hard before I fly for my holiday….else I will come back eat grass. LOL, just kidding!

 Anyway, in total, we have 3 rooms.

1st, is our Master bedroom (MBR). Our house is in move-in condition, and has a built-in wardrobe. So, we just basically need to get a good mattress ( we’re considering Sealy or Simmons) and a bedframe and perhaps a dressing table to put my makeup stuffs.

2nd, the room next to the MBR. It also has a built-in wardrobe. Well, maybe we’ll need to add in another wardrobe /shelves for my bags. And maybe, we’ll convert this room to a study room, where we can work at night.

3rd, for now, it will be the guest room. Sometimes, if my family or Mr Wan’s family comes over to stay, they can sleep in the room. So maybe, just buy a sofa bed, I guess?

Yesterday, I was talking to Josephine and Sharon over dinner ( they treated me to Modesto’s for my early birthday celebration) about home stuffs. There are a list of things I wanna get for my house. Like the steamboat stuffs, the Dyson fan ( it’s bladeless and so easy to clean. But also, so expensive!), nice bowls and plates, cholcolate fondue set, blah blah blah. I know it’s too early to talk about such stuffs, but I am really excited about the new house!

I have also been checking the furnitures online.

I like the “Smile” chair. I have been to the shop and sat on it. It looks so cute and comfy too!

And I hope to get a “L-shape” sofa. Preferably in fabric. Not really a fan of leather sofa ’cos back in my old house, we had one and somehow it feels hot and sticky on a humid weather and as times goes by, the leather become wrinkly and it looks really ugly.

Something like those below will be good! I wanna have lots of cushions on my sofa.

Next up, maybe I’ll go research on the coffee tables that I would like to have. Stay tuned!

Aiyah, so sian leh, everyday I am like waiting for that “love letter” and I do hope that everything will go smoothly as planned. It has been 12 working days since we made the 5% downpayment. We have already compared all the bank rates and have decided our banker (DBS!). We have also prepared the money for the stamp duty ( 3% of purchase price and that’s another 5-digit amount!). All we need now is the S&P and the approval of the $30k housing grant, before we can slowly plan our house renovation and furniture.

Haha, I know it’s too early to decide on the renovation matter since it will only be ready by October 2014 (most forumers believe should be ready by 3rd quarter of 2013). But these days, I really prefer going to furniture mall or the kitchenware section, rather than looking at those meaningless stuffs like clothes, shoes and makeup. Perhaps I have moved on to another stage of my life, where I feel having a house is more practical than owning another pair of shoes ( but, I am still lemming for a pair of Ferragamo pumps). But of course, I did not lose all my “impractical” side of me lah. I wanna buy a nice grey/beige/purple carpet ( he says it’s difficult to maintain). I wanna buy those scented oil burner ( he says it stinks! really meh?).

And most importantly, I wanna buy the following:

 A nice tea set, with a cake stand ( preferably 3 tier pls!). Would be better if it comes in a vintage rose design!

I wanna invite my close pals over to my place and catch up ( or maybe gossip! hehe) over a nice cuppa TWG tea, cute cupcakes and stuffs… you know what I mean, right? So, it’s really important to have a nice tea set! Mr Wan says it’s bullshit to spend so much and asked, ” Is it realllly necessary? Will it make your tea taste better?”

And my answer is Y-E-S!

Hahaha, the men will never understand. And the last I checked in Takashimaya, a complete set cost about $200+. So any sponsors for housewarming gift? hehe!

And I wanna have fresh flowers in my house – on the dining table, in the toilet, in the bedrooms. I just thought it’ll add that extra homely feel.

Lately, instead of browsing Forever21 or whatever website, I am more interested in searching for various home stuffs.

 Anyway, I read from the forum that Belysa is now 100% sold. Seeing this result makes me so happy and blessed that we have managed to secure a good place. And when the prices for Centrale 8 ( Tampines DBSS) was released, I feel even better! I guess all the Belysians should feel the same way as I do

ps: This post was drafted last weekend, but I have forgotten to post it. And YIPPEEEEEE! I had received a call yesterday that my S&P will be sent to my office on Monday! After that, we’ll just need to go to the lawyer to sign the documents and pay the stamp duty. Ha, now who says buying house in Singapore is a hassle? All you need is just money!
